We are a service provider. From the initial handshake to the turning of the key, Com-Steel can take your project from concept to completion. The following are examples of project delivery methods and services we provide.
Design-Engineer-Construct
A majority of Com-Steel’s projects are completed by this method. In this type of project delivery Com-Steel is responsible for all aspects of the construction project. The project usually begins with your concept or rough sketch of the project with one of our project managers. From there Com-Steel provides a preliminary design and cost estimate at no charge. If you like the design, and it fits within your budget, we proceed with engineering and permit drawings for construction of the project. Once the permit is granted, all construction activities are coordinated by Com-Steel thereby reducing the amount of time you have to spend coordinating with sub-contractors, sub-consultants and writing specifications.
Steel Erection/Steel Fabrication
Com-Steel has provided steel fabrication and erection for a number of local projects. Our shop is staffed with an ICBO certified welder who has fabricated projects such as the Cowden Batch Plant Enclosure, structural steel for Homestead Farms Golf Resort and Lynden Door’s 400’ long wing unit. We also work with a number of local steel fabricators and contractors to provide field labor for projects such as Skagit Harley, IKO Pacific, Bellingham Covenant Church and First Congregational Church.
